Forestry

We have a resident woods team of tremendous experience. Nick Scaife and Rob Kennedy assisted by Paul Boyce as well as various short-term contractors.

With about 700 acres of woodland to manage as well as taking on many other maintenance issues across the estate, the woods dept. is one of the most varied and hard-working on the estate.

Beams and planks

We have started processing our own timber and have cut a substantial amount of beams and are also kiln drying oak planks. These will be available for direct sale - please contact the estate office if interested.

Fire wood

Dalton Estate is no longer selling firewood or logs. Sorry.

Woodchip

As part of the biomass scheme The Dalton Estate now has woodchip for sale, for local consumers able to be delivered in a 6 tonne load @ £140/tonne. It is BSL certified, 30% moisture content and chipped to G30 standard.
