| John and his team have approximately 700 acres of woodland to manage, and in recent times the team has been reduced from 14 men in the 1980's to himself and Nick Scaife in the summer and in the winter they are joined by Rob Kennedy. They cover this huge acreage with the help of contractors who largely clear fell and remove the timber. | |
| Timber | |
| The wood is mostly available as "timber in the round" although a small amount of "small sawn timber" is available. The bulk of the timber operation is hardwoods, mainly being oak, ash, sycamore and a bit of yew. | |
| Firewood | |
| This is available on request from the estate, for wholesale only. As with all of the timber products that you are interested in purchasing it would be best to contact The Estate Office to be advised on availability and price. | |
| Christmas Trees | |
| There are also large Christmas trees for sale over 20 foot tall only. | |
