Laburnum Farm, proposed turbine site

Dalton Estate has applied for planning permission to erect two turbines on Laburnum Farm to the north of Warter road.

The site is intented to generate 100kW with each turbine producing 50kW. The hub height of these proposed turbines will be 25m and the blades are just over 9m please see Endurance the manufacturer for specific details.

Map indicating proposed siting of turbines

Dalton Estate proposes using Earthmill to install and maintain the turbines.

Earthmill have already succesfully erected a similar turbine at the Wold Top Brewery, Hunmanby and they have installed two further turbines at Great Kendal farm 100m to the west of B1249 (Scarborough road), roughly 1/2 a mile up the road once you leave the A614. Please click here for a map please allow approximately 25 minutes driving time.

Leaflets have appeared suggesting that anybody who doesn't want a turbine "in their backyard" should write to David Monk at David.Monk@EastRiding.gov.uk and copy to Beverley.dc@EastRiding.gov.uk, of course the same applies to anybody who feels that wind energy is a positive contribution to the environment.

Your support is essential for a green and secure future for all.
